Cordelio Power has placed a 171MW turbine order with Vestas for the Moraine Sands wind project in Illinois.
The order calls for 38 V150-4.5MW turbines to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2022.
This project is an expansion of the 185MW Glacier Sands wind farm, which consists of 43 V150-4.2MW turbines delivered in 4.3 operational mode and was commissioned in November 2021.
“Building off the successful commissioning and operations of the Glacier Sands wind farm, Vestas is thrilled to partner once again with Cordelio on the Moraine Sands wind project to collaboratively expand Illinois’ renewable energy footprint” said the president of Vestas North America Laura Beane.

The order comprises the turbines’ delivery and commissioning, as well as a 20-year service agreement.
