Three Dutch solar farms with a combined 48MWp of generation capacity have been purchased by Encavis.
The Dutch SDE+ feed-in tariff programme will provide benefits to the solar parks at Dokkum (generation capacity of 14MWp), Lemsterhoek (31MWp), and Hoogengraven (3MWp) for the first 15 years.
Both Hoogengraven and Dokkum have been connected to the grid since July 2022.
Lemsterhoek’s grid connection is also anticipated to be completed soon.
As of July 1, 2022, the revenue from the power generated will positively impact Encavis AG’s sales, profitability, and cash flow.
Encavis will receive long-term management and maintenance services from BayWa r. e. in addition to the three solar parks that they conceived, constructed, and sold to Encavis.
Encavis chief investment officer Mario Schirru said: “The acquisition of these three solar parks from BayWa r.e. expands our generation capacity in the Netherlands to 228MWp.
“We not only benefit from the long-term guaranteed feed-in tariffs in the Netherlands, but also from possibly higher electricity prices.”
BayWa r. e. global director of solar projects Benedikt Ortmann added: “We have already worked successfully with Encavis AG in the past and are pleased to be able to support them with our many years of experience and expertise in the field of solar energy on this project as well.
“Together, BayWa r. e. and Encavis AG are making a contribution to a secure and clean energy supply in Europe.”
