Andrew Morris has been appointed to the newly created position of head of infrastructure equities at UBS Asset Management’s Real Estate and Private Markets (REPM) department.
Morris will be responsible for expanding the REPM’s $5.2 billion infrastructure platform’s global reach and investment prospects in his new job.
Morris comes to the firm from CPP Investments, where he was managing director of infrastructure and real assets and oversaw a $38 billion equity portfolio.
Prior to joining CPP Investments, he worked at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management as a director of alternatives and real assets. Morris’ previous employers include John Laing, RSM Robson Rhodes, and Diageo.
Morris will be based in London and will report to Tommaso Albanese, the head of infrastructure at UBS Asset Management.
Albanese said “Andrew’s appointment is another important step in our infrastructure investment and growth strategy, particularly as we have focused our activities into exciting sustainable themes while taking advantage of long-term trends.”
