A 200MW wind farm in Texas has begun commercial operation by RWE Renewables.
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) south market will get power from El Algodon Alto, which is located in San Patricio County.
The Vestas turbines power the wind farm.
RWE will have delivered a total installed generation capacity of more than 3700MW of wind power in Texas, including more than 1700MW on the Texas coast, with the addition of El Algodon Alto.
