The sale of RES’s portfolio of 290MW Lycksele wind projects in Sweden has been agreed upon.
Prime Capital has purchased the Lycksele portfolio, which consists of three wind energy projects, and it is anticipated that they will start operating for profit in 2025.
RES began construction on Lycksele, which is in the county of Västerbotten, in 2007.
Fjällberg, Hornmyran, and Vinliden are the three projects that make up the portfolio’s 45 wind turbines.
A green power-to-x project in the area will utilise a portion of the electricity generated.
Through a development services agreement, RES will assist Prime Capital in preparing the portfolio for construction in 2023.
When it is operational, RES will provide portfolio asset management services.
Björnberget and Gubbaberget are being built by RES; RES created both projects, which will be purchased by Prime Capital in 2020.
Furthermore, RES offers asset management services to Stavro, another property in Prime Capital’s portfolio.
CEO of Nordics for RES, Matilda Afzelius, said “We are delighted to partner with Prime Capital AG again as they expand their investment in the Nordics and look forward to supporting them to bring theLycksele portfolio online.”
“We value working with a partner who shares our vision of the future of the Swedish energy market, and a focus on creating synergies between the renewable energy sector and industry to provide greater value to the economy.”
