Q Energy divests its portfolio of renewable energy assets in France

Q Energy has concluded the sale of a 73MW collection of renewable energy initiatives in France to ERG, an independent renewable energy producer based in Italy.

ERG’s newly acquired portfolio comprises two active solar farms, located in the Gironde area and the Pyrenees Orientales, boasting a combined installed capacity of 20.4MW. Additionally, there is a 28.8MW solar project in an advanced construction phase in the Pays de la Loire region and a 24MW wind farm in the final commissioning stage, following repowering, in the Aude region.

The two operational solar facilities and the wind farm benefit from a tariff system backed by a 20-year Contract for Difference (CfD). Meanwhile, the solar project in Pays de la Loire, slated to commence operations in the second quarter of 2024, is associated with a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) inked with a prominent French retail company.

Deputy Managing Director of Q ENERGY France, Joshua Lim, said “We are thrilled to announce the sale of our 73.2 MW portfolio of renewable energy projects to ERG. This collaboration underscores our shared dedication to driving impactful change in the renewable energy landscape.”

“It also represents a pivotal moment for both organisations, as we collectively accelerate progress towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.”
