Polenergia has inked an exclusivity deal with Naxxar Renewable Energy Management to discuss acquiring a 680MW wind portfolio in Romania.
Polenergia and Bucharest-based Naxxar Renewable Energy have entered a memorandum of understanding for exclusive negotiations regarding the potential acquisition of shares in Romanian wind farm projects.
These shares are currently held by Naxxar Renewable Energy Management Holding, the prospective seller.
The sale has been announced but remains unsigned. Polenergia, which is traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, is under the control of Kulczyk Investments, an investment fund established by the late Polish billionaire Jan Kulczyk in 2015.

They focus on clean and green renewable energy, positioning themselves as a leader in the transition towards sustainable energy sources. Polenergia has been involved in the development and operation of wind farm projects, with a significant portfolio of wind energy assets.

Naxxar Renewable Energy is a Romanian company, established in 2020, which started its development operations in January 2021. The current focus is on large scale wind power parks, earmarking now some greenfield solar projects ranging from c. 30 MW up to 200 MW.
