Matrix Renewables, a renewable energy platform supported by TPG Rise, has signed a strategic relationship with Energia Aljaval, a Spanish firm, to co-develop at least 300MW of solar farms in Italy.
According to Matrix, the new alliance will help the company expand its position in Italy, with close to 1GW of projects in various stages of development.
Inigo Asensio, Matrix Renewables’ head of M&A, remarked “With this new co-development agreement for the Italian Market, we continue our geographical growth and portfolio diversification.
“Through this partnership, and others like it, we are executing on our strategy to become a significant solar photovoltaic and energy storage player in Italy in the near term.”
