Having partnered with Gravis Capital Management Ltd for many years, InfraBe are delighted to announce that Ed Simpson joins the team as head of Energy & Infrastructure. We thoroughly enjoyed the hiring process, working with both Ed and the senior management team at Gravis.
In his new role as Head of Energy and Infrastructure at the specialised investment advisory firm Ed will manage all direct infrastructure and renewables investment activity.
Ed worked as a fund manager at Gresham House earlier in his career, where he concentrated on real asset investments in the field of sustainable infrastructure. Ed worked for Downing LLP, The Carbon Trust, and Bridges Ventures before joining Gresham House.
Ed said in response to his appointment “I am looking forward to working with the Gravis team who, over the last 14 years, have developed an impressive reputation in making and managing sustainable infrastructure investments.
“Gravis have been ground-breaking in so many areas and I look forward to contributing to the leadership team and working on the next chapter in their story, following their partnership with Orix in 2021.“There is a huge need for investment to support the transition to a net zero way of life, and Gravis is well placed to deliver those investment opportunities.”

Ed will serve as the team leader for Gravis’ energy and infrastructure division, helping to oversee the division’s existing funds, such as GCP Infrastructure Investments Limited, as well as the creation and application of fresh energy and infrastructure direct investment strategies.
