Stefano has nearly 15 years of experience working largely in the infrastructure, investment, and renewable energy sectors.
Before joining GLP, Stefano held the position of Investment Director at SUSI Partners AG, a Swiss infrastructure company that oversees the biggest European investment platform for energy efficient projects. In this role, he was in charge of originating and carrying out credit and equity transactions in the clean energy infrastructure sector, including investments in onsite solar, combined heat and power, renewable heat, light-as-a-service, EV charging, and other energy efficiency measures.
Prior to this, Stefano served as Co-CEO of the engineering firm Solesa, which creates, builds, and manages solar photovoltaic plants. Stefano oversaw the company’s international growth and oversaw new asset expansions in Italy, India, and Oman. He began his professional life with Boston Consulting Group.
In his new position, Stefano will be responsible for fostering the expansion of GLP’s onsite renewable energy initiative, which aims to decarbonize the company’s built environment through the use of rooftop solar, battery storage, infrastructure for electric vehicles, and other cleantech applications.
Utilizing its vast real estate portfolio to contribute toward a clean future and drive the global energy transition, GLP, an industry leader in ESG, is making a deliberate push into the energy transition sector.
The company has started a number of projects to advance renewable energy, and as of now, it has 415 MW of installed solar PV capacity globally, which can produce about 430,000 MWh annually and greatly reduce CO2 emissions.
In line with GLP’s overarching ESG and sustainability objectives, renewable energy produced by the company is sold back to utility companies and customers, relieving stress on regional electrical systems and having a positive impact on local communities.
