Eneco & Equinor join together for Dutch offshore wind tenders

Eneco and Equinor are partnering together to participate in the offshore wind tenders for the IJmuiden Ver Alpha and Beta offshore wind sites in the Netherlands.

These developments are significant for the Dutch Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap, as they will contribute an additional 4GW of offshore wind power to the Dutch energy mix.

Eneco is a renewable energy company and offshore wind developer that operates in the Netherlands and Belgium.

They have previously worked on projects like Hollandse Kust (west) 6, Hollandse Kust (noord) 5, Borssele 3 & 4 in the Netherlands, and Norther in Belgium. Eneco aims to expand its offshore wind portfolio as part of its commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2035.

Equinor has a substantial renewable energy portfolio on a global scale and intends to further expand it to reach 12GW to 16GW by 2030.

The company is currently constructing Dogger Bank in the North Sea, which will become the largest offshore wind farm in the world.

Equinor also operates other offshore wind farms in the North Sea, including Hywind Tampen in Norway and Sheringham Shoal, Dudgeon, and Hywind Scotland in the UK.
