In order to compete in the offshore wind tender for the first phase of the Belgian Princess Elisabeth Zone, EDF Renewables, Jan De Nul, and Luminus have teamed together.
The federal government has designated the Princess Elisabeth Zone as a location where local renewable electricity output in Belgium can be increased by up to 3.5GW.
The partnership will combine the parties’ knowledge and experience in offshore wind energy to produce an offer.

Offshore Director at Jan De Nul Group, Philippe Hutse, said “Last week, we announced the award of the design and construction of the world’s first artificial energy island in the same Princess Elisabeth Zone.”
