To support its expansion and goals in the field of digital infrastructure, DIF Capital Partners has increased the size of its European workforce. Willem Jansonius, the manager of DIF’s CIF fund strategy, has identified digital assets as one of its main areas of focus.
Simon Rozas began working as the Head of European Digital Infrastructure in London on November 1. Jan Angenendt, who joined as a Director at DIF in Frankfurt in October, will assist Simon.
Simon will oversee the creation and financial investments in Europe’s digital infrastructure. Prior to this, he managed greenfield fibre projects for the Connecting Europe Broadband Fund at Cube Infrastructure Managers in Europe.
At the EBRD, Citigroup, and HSBC, Simon has more than two decades of experience in investing, lending, and investment banking. He began his academic career at Vilnius University and graduated from Brandeis University in Massachusetts with a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics and Finance.
Jan came from InfraRed Capital Partners, where he was responsible for origination in the DACH region, particularly initiatives related to digital infrastructure.
Prior to that, Jan served as a policy advisor at HM Treasury, a senior associate for KPMG Corporate Finance, and a UK government economist.
Both the University of Warwick and the Free University of Berlin have awarded him master’s degrees in economics.
