Cubico hires Stacy Kusters as Country Head for USA

One of the world’s leading providers of renewable energy in the Americas and Europe is Cubico Sustainable Investments. Cubico was established in 2015 to manage and invest in renewable energy assets globally. The company, which is jointly owned by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and PSP Investments, has substantial resources to deploy and is dedicated to a long-term growth strategy that will make it one of the largest and best-in-class investors in renewable energy worldwide.

With assets in the wind, solar PV, solar thermal, and transmission line industries, Cubico has a portfolio of about 4 GW. The company’s portfolio is spread over 12 nations, including Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, the United States (USA), France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom (UK), and Australia. It covers the entire energy cycle, from development and construction to operation.

Cubico’s employees are central to its success and, as a result, the company looks for people who believe in its purpose. They have now further bolstered their team by hiring Stacy Kusters as country head for USA.

Stacy is the former Vice President Business & Project Development at Berkshire Hathaway Energy Renewables. In her new position, Stacey will oversee all facets of Cubico’s US operations and asset management in addition to leading investments in new transactions. Stacy has a wealth of experience in structuring and pricing complex transactions, buying wind and solar assets, and underwriting and executing tax equity transactions.

Congratulations to Stacy and Cubico, a great hire at a crucial time for US renewables.
