DP Renewables has named Carmen Caminero as its new country manager for the UK.
With an engineering background and an Executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, Caminero has over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
She previously worked as a senior business development manager and project manager for independent producers in France and Spain and as a deputy contract manager in a major infrastructure project in Norway.
In her new role, she will be responsible for expanding EDPR’s presence in the UK, a crucial market for the company, while also striving to promote the energy transition and ensure positive economic, social and environmental outcomes.
Caminero said “The transition to clean energy is undoubtedly an important part of UK energy policies.”
“At EDPR, we are committed to effectively implementing this transition in line with the Climate Change Act, which legally binds the UK government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 100% from 1990 levels (net zero) by 2050.”
