Buchan Offshore Wind, the company behind a floating offshore wind farm off the northeastern Scottish coast, has submitted its Offshore Scoping Report to the Marine Directorate of the Scottish Government.
This marks a significant initial step in the approval process and includes project details and the proposed approach to Environmental Impact Assessment.
The wind farm is set to be situated approximately 75 kilometers northeast of Fraserburgh along the Aberdeenshire Coast, with a planned capacity of about 1GW. Stakeholders are encouraged to offer their input and take part in the scoping process.
Additionally, the Project Development team will host public exhibitions, both in-person and online, in the upcoming autumn, allowing interested parties to gather more information about the project and share their feedback.
