Atrato Onsite Energy and OVO Energy sign PPA for 50MW solar site

Atrato Onsite Energy and OVO Energy have entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the solar site Project Skeeby in Richmond, Yorkshire, with a capacity of 50MW.

Atrato acquired Skeeby in April 2023 and is currently in the process of installing the project, which is expected to be operational by March 2024.

Under the agreement, Atrato will supply OVO Energy with 49GWh of clean energy annually.

This will result in a reduction of 9,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, which is equivalent to powering 17,000 homes in the UK or planting 380,000 trees.

The PPA ensures a steady revenue stream for Atrato over a three-year period, with a fixed price and annual increases for the energy generated by Skeeby.

Managing director of Atrato Partners, the investment adviser to the company, Gurpreet Gujral, said “We are delighted to be supplying OVO, one of the largest electricity suppliers in the UK.”

“As targeted at IPO, we have now built a portfolio of solar PV systems commercialised with a range of PPA maturities that result in an optimum sensitivity to power price movements.”
