International wind turbine O&M expert Full Circle has purchased French company Net-Wind as part of its multi-brand expansion plan in Europe.
Together with its Dutch headquarters and current operations in France, the UK, Italy, and Greece, this will increase Full Circle’s market share in France.
A multi-brand O&M service provider with over ten years of experience, Net-Wind has worked on turbines manufactured by Senvion, Nordex, Gamesa, Vestas, and Enercon.
The business is situated in France and employs about 30 people spread out across five service centres.
With the acquisition, Full Circle will dramatically increase its market share in the quickly expanding French wind energy sector, which is anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 6% between 2023 and 2027.
Onshore wind will account for the vast majority of this expansion, with the French government projecting the installation of 35GW by 2028, an increase of 17GW from 2020.
The current management team will stay in place as a result of this agreement, and Full Circle will invest in the business to increase its technological and operational skills.
Billy Stevenson, Full Circle chief executive, said “Net-Wind has established a well-deserved reputation in the French market for technical excellence and effective project delivery, working across a wide variety of major turbine brands.”
“We are delighted to have secured this deal, which we believe will benefit both sides and, more importantly, expands our capabilities as a group and allows us to offer a better service to our customers in France and beyond.”
Outgoing president of Net-Wind, Didier Evano, added “Since Net-Wind was established in 2011, the company has been passionate about delivering great quality service for the installation, effective operation, preventative and corrective maintenance, and decommissioning of wind turbines.”
“I believe that this deal will allow Net-Wind to build on this heritage and invest in the long-term growth, while continuing to deliver best-in-class service for the company’s clients.”
With almost two decades of specialised O&M experience, Full Circle was founded in 2021 as a demerger from wind turbine manufacturer EWT. It now provides wind services for onshore wind farms in Europe, North America, and South Asia.
The portfolio of investments for the energy transition at AtlasInvest includes Full Circle. The Net-Wind transaction’s financial specifics are kept confidential.
